Competition - 2017 Piano Competition

THELONIOUS MONK INSTITUTE OF JAZZ INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION

First Place: $25,000 and Concord Music Group recording contract
Second Place: $15,000
Third Place: $10,000

Fifty percent of each prize will be paid directly to the winner.
The remaining funds will be applied toward the winner’s future musical education.

The application for the 2017 Piano Competition is now closed. Further details on the 2017 Competition will be announced at a later date.

Eligibility
The Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz International Piano Competition is open to all pianists who plan to pursue jazz performance as a career. Eligibility is exclusive to pianists who are 30 years of age and under as of October 10, 2017. Applicants must not have any binding record label or distribution affiliations. Applicants must be free and able to accept all prize awards, including a recording contract with Concord Music Group.
